This is a better option for those who is sensitive to chlorine but again it doesn’t mean the water is chlorine-free.
Saltwater swimming pool owners encouter the same issues as people who own regular pools. However. they are free 0f hassle of buying and bringing and adding chlorine directly to water, which can save a bit of time and money when comparing saltwater and regular pool maintenance.
Saltwater in the pool is milder (ocean-like) than you might think so there is no great difference between regular and saltwater pools when it comes to taste or color for that matter. Now if you opt for a chlorine-free natural swimming pond then the water will turn green due to algae and the taste will differ since there won’t be many chemicals.
When it comes to maintaining your saltwater pool you’ll have to watch the water salt content, which should be between 2500 – 4500 ppm although some chlorine generators can do it for you. You’ll also have to clean the salt cell once or twice during season and change it once in five to seven years.
Overall, saltwater swimming pool is similar to the regular one in all senses, except the need for purchusing and adding chlorine to water.
